About SASSM School Bangladesh
SASSM at the beginning of 2012, a group of highly respected Sexual Medicine specialists from India decided to take action on the clear need and willingness to found a new professional society for sexual medicine in the South Asian region.
As a result, they formed a founding steering committee and worked on setting up the new South Asian Society for Sexual Medicine (SASSM), which was established in August 2012.
SASSM School, Bangladesh at the beginning of 2017, a group of highly respected Sexual Medicine Specialists from the Bangladesh area decided to take action on the clear need and willingness to found a new professional society for sexual medicine in the SASSM. As a result, they formed a founding committee and worked on setting up the new SASSM School, Bangladesh for Sexual Medicine, which was established in March 2017. The first scientific activity of the newly established SASSM School, Bangladesh was the organization of the 1st Sexual Medicine Training Course of SASSM School, Bangladesh and also decided to generate some funds from International Society for Sexual Medicine (ISSM) for this three days course. By considering the importance of this course regarding sexual health ISSM have granted a fund. After that the 1st SASSM School, Bangladesh Training course was held from 23- 25 September 2017 with an outstanding success.
Aim: The SASSM School, Bangladesh is a state of art education initiative of SASSM Bangladesh. It is a Not for Profit Organization Whose Aims are to-
- Encourage the highest standards of practice, education and research in the field of human sexuality and sexual medicine in Bangladesh.
- To develop scientific methods for the diagnosis, prevention and treatment of conditions affecting human sexual- reproductive function.
- To promote the publication of medical and scientific literature in the field of sexual – reproductive function.
